The most fashionable make-up looks for the upcoming  autumn and winter 2021-2022 seasons perfectly reflect the trends that rule social media – the popular cult of naturalness and the fun of make-up. What do they all have in common? A certain amount of imperfection. Make-up is not only about making you more beautiful, but also an original way of self-expression. You can experiment with a retro look one day, and the next with a nonchalant grunge look or a 100% natural look!

Make-up for the new season

Although the summer has left us rather quickly, autumn promises to be quite optimistic. The fun of make-up has returned. And we can’t let the colder weather or the continued use of masks (even if limited) stop us from doing so. Here are the hottest make-up trends.

XL eyelashes

This trend is for fans of quick make-up. Boosting up your lashes makes the look more deep and literally eye-catching, especially if you’re wearing a mask. The key is a good black mascara. Use a mascara with a hourglass shaped brush (like NOTE Volume One Touch) to give your lashes extra volume in just one stroke. It precisely reaches and grabs even the shortest hairs. Use a zig-zag motion when you apply the brush to help lengthen lashes even more. Paint the outer lashes side hairs again, pulling them slightly to the side towards hairline. This way you get the fashionable “foxy eye” effect. Apply BB cream or pressed powder to your face and you are ready to go.

Graphic line

This trend is with us practically every season, but with this one all tricks are allowed. You can draw the classic thin flick – type line on your eyelid, outline the entire eye, or create an unfinished line. It’s all about skill and having the right makeup. To draw a line around your eye, you can simply use a well-sharpened eye pencil. However, for a more precise line, a special eyeliner (like NOTE Ultra black eyeliner) is best. It has a contoured, flexible brush that makes it easy to draw, even if you are not very experienced. With a classic eyeliner, all you need to do is make quick strokes from the inner corner to the middle of the eyelid, and then further to the outer corner. Finally, a slight curl for a really voluptuous look.

The chocolate look

Soft browns, beiges, reds and dark oranges are the basis of this trend. A mix of matte, satin and metallic shadows is a must (like NOTE Love At First Sight Palette 201). With this palette you can create the most fashionable eye make-up. You can use the brown matte shade (shade A) to emphasize your eyebrows, then apply a bit of the illuminating shade (shade B) under the eyebrow arch. This gives a slight lifting effect and also “opens up” the eye. You can also use the chocolate shade (shade C) to make a thin line just above the lash line, which will optically thicken them. For the evening look just cover the whole eyelid with a beige shadow (shade D) and then from the middle use shade E and blend with a brush. To make the effect more expressive apply the shades wet.

Focus on the lips

For the past few months lips were covered up under masks and we really missed wearing the lipsticks and glosses.  During the recent fashion weeks, models on the runways had beautifully accentuated lips. The trend is for both nude lips, as well as more expressive ones, like classic red, wine and burgundy. Here are some tips to make your lip makeup perfect. Use a lip liner as a first step to shape your lips and keep your lipstick in place. You can use a classic shiny lipstick ( like NOTE Deep Impact Lipstick) and simply cover your lips with it.  Another great option is a matte liquid lipstick with staying power (like NOTE Mattever Lip- Ink shade 18 Orchid Scent). With it’s application sponge tip you can precisely outline and paint your lips. It also contains murumuru butter and argan oil, which nourish and moisturise your lips. Care and make-up in one!

A pinch of colour

During the pandemic, many women kept their makeup at a minimum, so one of the leading trends nowadays is a very natural almost no makeup makeup look with a pinch of colour to the cheeks. To achieve this look, use a BB cream instead of foundation. It evens out your skin tone while hydrating and giving you a natural finish. Then reach for a blusher, preferably a soft shade such as NOTE Luminous Silk Compact Blusher 04 Soft Peach. Apply a small amount to brush, then tap off excess product. Brush from cheekbone to temple with a firm, sweeping motion. Then apply a pink tone lipstick to finish your natural, fresh Insta hit look.
